Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is located at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY
Wednesday, July 3: Stuffed pepper, mashed potatoes, buttered cabbage, unsweetened applesauce, cup cake or angel food, wheat bread and milk.
Thursday, July 4: Turkey tetrazzini, mashed potatoes, vegetables, bread, fresh fruit and milk. Will be delivered Wednesday, closed for holiday.
Friday, July 5: Lasagna, green beans, scalloped apples, lettuce, bread stick and milk.
Saturday, July 6: Roast beef with swiss cheese on a bun, carrots with ranch dressing, orange, apple juice and milk.
Monday, July 8: Pork chop, potatoes with gravy, brussels sprouts, pineapple tidbits, wheat bread and milk.
Tuesday, July 9: Salisbury steak, O’Brien potatoes, broccoli, grape juice, rye bread and milk.
MAHONING COUNTY
Wednesday, July 3: Teriyaki chicken, oriental vegetables, zucchini, tropical fruit, fruit punch, wheat bread, fortune cookie and milk.
Thursday, July 4: Cold lunch will be delivered Wednesday, closed for the holiday.
Friday, July 5: Sloppy joe on a bun, tater tots, corn, diced pears, gelatin and milk.
Saturday, July 6: Chicken breast on a bun, romaine salad, cucumbers, banana, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk.
Monday, July 8: Veal patty on a bun, chopped spinach, cubed redskin potatoes, unsweetened fruit, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk.
Tuesday, July 9: Lasagna stacker, spinach, yellow squash, unsweetened applesauce, banana muffin, orange juice and milk.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at 12 locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal. To make a reservation or for more information, call 330-675-2486.
