YOUNGSTOWN — Power has been restored to The Vindicator after an underground cable failed early this morning, causing a surge that impacted several buildings downtown.
According to Mark Durbin, spokesman for FirstEnergy, The Vindicator production building was the only building that was left without power for a substantial period of time.
The problem occurred around 7 a.m. today. By 5 p.m., power was finally restored.
The newspaper will print on time, General Manager Mark Brown said, as Vindicator employees worked to get production back on schedule.
