WAYNESBURG, Pa.

Authorities say a homicide suspect and another man briefly escaped from a western Pennsylvania prison but were captured about two hours after they disappeared.

State police say 33-year-old Jason Roe and 27-year-old Rocco Iacovone were captured Saturday afternoon shortly after escaping from the Greene County Prison.

Roe and his wife are awaiting trial in homicide charges in the August 2012 shooting death of 38-year-old Cordele Patterson. Prosecutors say Patterson was killed at a remote hunting cabin in a love-triangle dispute.

Iacovone pleaded guilty to fleeing a police officer and reckless endangerment last month.
