Events set for YSU alumni reunion

Youngstown State University alumni are invited to reconnect with fellow graduates during the All Alumni Reunion on July 12 and 13.

Events will be in downtown Youngstown and on the YSU campus during the Summer Festival of the Arts.

July 12

5:30 to 7 p.m.: Alumni networking reception at OH WOW! The Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, 11 W. Federal St. Attendees may mingle with fellow alumni and enjoy hors d’oeuvres, explore the museum and obtain a Penguin Pass for discounts at downtown establishments later that evening. Adults only. Cash bar. $8 Alumni Society members, $10 nonmembers.

July 13

10 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Summer Festival of the Arts on the YSU campus. Explore the work of local, regional and national artists while sampling the food and traditions of diverse cultures. Visit www.ysu.edu/sfa.

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Alumni welcome tent at Summer Festival of the Arts. Stop by the Alumni Welcome Tent to interact with academic departments and campus organizations. Interactive college demonstrations will take place. Prizes for alumni.

5 to 6 p.m.: Alumni reception, Ohio Room of Kilcawley Center. Gather with alumni, family and friends for light hors d’oeuvres, wine and punch before the Alumni Dinner. $15 includes reception and dinner. Wine available by cash bar.

6 p.m.: Alumni dinner, Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center. Picnic-style buffet, campus updates and more prizes.

July 14

11 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Summer Festival of the Arts continues.
