LEHIGHTON, Pa.

A body has been found in a northeastern Pennsylvania lake where rescue workers have been searching for more than a week for a missing boater.

WFMZ says the body was pulled from the lake in Beltzville State Park about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Carbon County Coroner Bruce Nalesnic said the body is that of a 57-year- old Lehighton man whose relatives are being notified.

He says an autopsy is planned at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Wednesday.

Emergency crews said a man fell out of his boat on the lake July 22 and never resurfaced. Crews started combing the lake after fishermen on shore saw the boat going in circles.
