Music at Madison will present a benefit performance at 8 p.m. Saturday for the Silver Lining Cancer Fund in the Gardens of Madison Moore, a Victorian home at 264 Madison Ave., across from Youngstown State University’s Lyden House dormitory. Songs of Elton John, Neil Diamond, Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel and more will be presented, and the audience is encouraged to sing along. Admission is $25 and includes a finger-food buffet at intermission. The event is BYOB; stemware will be provided.

The Silver Lining Cancer Fund was founded 30 years ago by Dr. Lawrence Pass, an oncologist with the Youngstown Hospital Association, to help meet the needs of patients diagnosed with cancer.
Music at Madison is in its 11th year as Youngstown’s longest running live cabaret show. The monthly event was founded by Rodd Coonce and Jack Peterson, and features the area’s top singers and musicians.
Coonce, the featured performer at each show, moved back to Youngstown area 23 years ago when his mother was suffering from metastatic malignant melanoma and was not expected to live more than two years. A patient of Dr. Pass, she is still alive and personally makes the intermission foods for Music at Madison.
