ODOT worker hit by tow truck and hospitalized


BRACEVILLE — State troopers with the Southington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating after a Ohio Department of Transportation worker directing traffic was hit by a tow truck today.

A spokesman said the worker was with a crew sealing cracks on state Route 534 just north of state Route 82 when a tow truck driver who was not paying attention hit him about 10 a.m.

The worker was flown to a Cleveland hospital by helicopter with moderate injuries, according to the spokesman. The name of the tow truck driver is not yet available. The accident is still under investigation.
