July 11

Arrest: Police responded to a 911 call from Old Oxford Lane before charging 38-year-old Lavail M. Mahone, 211 Park Ave., Youngstown, with aggravated trespassing, assault and intimidating a victim, a third-degree felony. A woman alleged Mahone had entered her residence, continually beat her up for about 30 minutes and further threatened the accuser if she contacted authorities.

Theft: A Trotter Drive man reported $1,500 and at least 60 pills stolen from a bedroom.

Identity fraud: A Golfview Drive man realized someone without authorization had used his Social Security number to obtain unemployment benefits.

Counterfeit: A fake $50 bill was passed at a BP gas station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road.

Assault: A man told police he was shoved while working at a Boardman-Canfield Road outreach facility.

Theft: a 9 mm handgun was missing from an apartment in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue.

July 12

Arrest: Police at the Mahoning County jail booked 21-year-old Dezmon K. Woodley, 6063 Applecrest Court, Boardman, on warrants charging receiving stolen property and leaving the scene of an accident. In April, an Applecrest Court woman reported her Ford Taurus was taken without permission and that she later learned it was in an accident.

Theft: A $250 laptop computer was stolen from a car at the Southern Park Mall.

Criminal damaging: Someone wrote profanities on a window to a Market Street business and dislodged a fence post from its base.

Theft: A woman took a $16 bottle of hand sanitizer from a Get Go gas station, 6911 South Ave.

Domestic violence: Jennifer L. Pascarella, 32, of 5820 Brookwood Road, Boardman, surrendered on a warrant after her former husband alleged Pascarella was angered about an upcoming court case pertaining to their children before threatening to slit his throat and kill him.

Robbery: A woman in a black-and-blue dress with yellow flowers reportedly pushed a manager with Walgreens Pharmacy, 525 E. Midlothian Blvd., after stealing a bottle of wine and before fleeing in a dark sport-utility vehicle.

Theft: Champ’ell L.M. Tatum, 22, of 3719 Erie St., Youngstown, was charged with stealing nine articles of children’s clothing valued at $150 from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.

Domestic violence: Marquis A. Stephenson of 585 E. Avondale Ave., Youngstown, was charged after his wife alleged that while at Akron Children’s Hospital, 6505 Market St., the 33-year-old Stephenson had grabbed her right bicep and pushed her during an argument.

Theft: A Youngstown man reported $1,000 stolen from his car while he had it serviced at a Market Street auto-repair business.

July 13

Arrest: A traffic stop near Glenwood Avenue resulted in the arrest of 19-year-old Dajohn K. Neely, 4975 Sampson Drive, Liberty. He was wanted on a warrant from the Trumbull County 911 center.

Fraud: A Boardman-Canfield Road man found out $1,449 had been removed from his account and transferred to another without permission.

Theft: A Mathews Road woman discovered her stolen $450 iPhone was pawned.

Menacing: An Austintown man in the 5900 block of South Avenue told officers another man tried to goad the accuser into a fight.

Arrest: Officers in the 800 block of Boardman-Poland Road pulled over then arrested 22-year-old Danita B. Harris after discovering Harris, of 71 Earl Ave., Youngstown, was wanted on a bench warrant accusing her of failing to appear in court on charges of criminal damaging and endangering children.

Breaking and entering: A $300 lawn mower was removed from a shed in the 70 block of Wilda Avenue.

Burglary: To an apartment in the 4900 block of Southern Boulevard via the front door. Stolen was a 46-inch flat-screen TV.

Menacing: A Sheridan Road woman said a neighbor threatened to beat her up in the latest in a longstanding feud between them.

Recovered property: A 2009 Ford Escape was found near Tippecanoe Road after it had been reported stolen in the 1400 block of Fredericksburg Drive.

Theft: A $320 silver-and-gold chain was stolen from a counter at Piercing Pagoda, a Southern Park Mall jewelry store.

Assault: A man reported having been struck in the jaw and throat while at a Market Street motel.

Arrest: Sandra A. Walters, 52, of 101 Delaware Ave., Poland, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired after police stopped her in the 7400 block of South Avenue.

Theft: A Youngstown woman in the 30 block of Wildwood Drive reported her purse containing $5,000 stolen.

Harassment: A Friendship Avenue man reportedly made several unwanted calls to the Boardman Township Government Center, 8299 Market St.

Vandalism: An irate man at Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership, 101 Boardman-Canfield Road, slammed a door and damaged its hinge, apparently angered that the company refused to intervene in a rental dispute between him and a woman.

Theft: A $200 pair of sunglasses was removed from a car in the 1400 block of Turnberry Drive.

July 14

Theft: Police arrested 30-year-old Nicole M. Fotou at her home, 8510 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, on a felony theft charge after a woman reported in May that her purse was stolen while she shopped at a Doral Drive store.

Arrest: A traffic stop on Glenwood Avenue led to a charge of operating a vehicle impaired against 59-year-old George P. Sanko, 40 Gillam Lane, Boardman.

Vandalism: A vehicle at a Tiffany Boulevard motel was found with its driver’s-side tires slashed.

Arrest: Victoria K. Limbeck, 20, was taken into custody at her apartment, 4009 S. Schenley Ave., Boardman, on a charge of obstructing official business when, police said, she provided a false name and date of birth during a June traffic stop in the township.

Assault: Officers responded to two women fighting in the 70 block of Lemans Drive after one woman accused the other of deliberately placing a tire in her parking space. Both sustained minor injuries.

Arrest: Authorities responded to someone possibly soliciting for money in the 6900 block of South Avenue before taking Brad E. Hass into custody. The 21-year-old Covington, Ky., man was wanted on a warrant from Clermont County, Ohio, charging marijuana possession and carrying a concealed weapon.

Theft: Nicholas Makris, 39, of 142 Belmont Ave. NW, Warren, was charged in the theft of a small refrigerator and a 150-ampere battery charger from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Arrest: Police on U.S. Route 224 pulled over Charles J. Oliver of 193 Chestnut St., Leetonia, before charging the 22-year-old man with operating a vehicle impaired.

July 15

Theft: A man in the 7000 block of Market Street said he loaned his bicycle to another man who never returned it.

Domestic violence: Dwayne E. Pixley, 45, of 78 Lemans Drive, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his stepdaughter alleged an intoxicated Pixley had punched her face, slammed the accuser to the ground and choked her.

Theft: Melissa S. Merrick, 18, and Samantha L. Reeves, 19, both of 7053 West Blvd., Boardman, were charged with stealing six articles of clothing from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A woman reportedly rented but stopped making payments on an item she had rented from Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 40 block of Wilda Avenue and removed a $300 lawn mower.

Fraud: A Taronte Drive woman told authorities she made a $175 down payment to a man claiming to be a landscaper and that he never returned to perform the work.

Theft: A woman stole 20 to 25 articles of junior girls clothing and accessories from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Assault: A 14-year-old boy at a Boardman-Canfield Road store reported two other 14-year-old boys attacked him. One apparently struck the accuser behind his left ear, a report said.

Theft: A woman discovered a 32-inch flat-screen TV and a credit card missing from her residence in the 100 block of Terrace Drive.

Harassment: A Johnston Place woman said a caller inquiring about her insurance policy became belligerent when she refused to buy another.

Misuse of a credit card: An Orlo Lane woman noticed more than $912 worth of fraudulent online charges to her account, including about $900 for a hotel room in Tanzania.

Theft: Jennie M. Stano, 36, of 757 Austin Ave. SW, Warren, was charged. Stano, who also was wanted on a warrant from Mercer County, Pa., was accused of taking 67 articles of clothing valued at $466 from Walmart.

July 16

Burglary: Took place in the 5200 block of South Avenue through a rear window. Two 42-inch TVs and two firearms were among items taken.
