What: Hands-on garden activities for children. Learn about vegetables with “Eat Your Colors” and see which insect is “Bug of the Week.”

Bird Walk
When: Saturday, 8-10 a.m.
What: Jeff Harvey of Wild Birds Unlimited will lead walk at 264-acre Mill Creek Wildlife Sanctuary, which is closed to public.
Info: Parking limited, reservations a must. Call Ford Nature Center by 5 p.m. Friday. Boots are a necessity. No “walk ins” permitted.

Nature Lovers
What: Flower show.

Ladybugs Pre-K class
When: Saturday, 11 a.m. to noon.
What: First of three preschool classes focuses on insects and creatures in the garden. Will spend some time in Family Garden looking for ladybugs. Children will listen to a story, have a snack and make a ladybug craft.
Fee: $6 nonmembers; FFRG member, $4.

Summer Garden Party
When: July 26, 6:30 p.m.
What: “Reflections,” 25th anniversary of Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens’ annual fundraiser.
Details: Meander newly paved paths while enjoying appetizers and the evening’s signature drink. Dine in the gardens from innovative menu. Dance to music of Rudy and the Professionals.
