Old North Church was the setting of the 1:30 p.m. Aug. 11 wedding of Amanda Nims and Shawn Barber, both of Austintown. The Rev. Chris Drombetta officiated, and a reception followed at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.
Parents of the bride are Jeffrey Nims and Linda Nims, both of Austintown. Parents of the groom are Greg and Patricia Barber, also of Austintown.
After a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple reside in Austintown.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Youngstown State University. She is a first-grade teacher for Austintown schools.
Her husband received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from YSU. He works in finance at V&M Star in Youngstown.
Rickie Williams was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Grout; Danielle Chintella; Rosie Hammond; Alyssa Mamone, the bride’s cousin; and Melody Barber, the groom’s sister-in-law. Lylah Clymer, the bride’s niece, participated as the flower girl. The attendants wore Victorian lilac gowns.
Seth Steiner performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Greg and Chris Barber, brothers of the groom; Jeff Koval; Zach Nims, the bride’s brother; and Dan Schnurrenberger. David Everette, the groom’s cousin, was the ring-bearer. Ushers were Joe McHenry, the groom’s cousin; and Dante Mamone, the bride’s cousin.
