The Poland seventh-grad girls basketball team completed an undefeated season by winning the All-American Conference tournament title Feb. 6 with a 32-27 defeat of the Howland Tigers.

The team finished the season unbeaten with an 18-0 record. The squad is the first seventh-grade girls team to go undefeated since 1995. The Bulldogs dominated opponents this season, with an average margin of victory of 15.6 points.

In the title game, Maggie Sebest led Poland with 10 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Bella Gajdos added eight points and three assists. Alexis Hughes netted six points, four of which came in the fourth quarter to help stave off a late Howland run.

Lexi Demain turned in a stellar defensive performance with seven steals and Alea Nicholudis grabbed six steals to go with three points.

The team was coached by head coach Rick DiNunzio and assistant Todd Bury.
