Army: 5 of 6 killed in Afghan chopper crash

FORT RILEY, Kan. (AP) — Army officials say five U.S. soldiers based at Fort Riley, Kan., and one based in Europe were killed in a helicopter crash this week in southern Afghanistan.

The Army confirmed today that the soldiers died when their Black Hawk UH-60 went down Tuesday during a mission in Afghanistan. One soldier who was aboard the helicopter survived.
