Three young adults living at 1725 Larchmont Ave. NE have been indicted on charges of child endangering, accused of abusing four children.
All three are charged with felony offenses accusing them of recklessly torturing or cruelly abusing two girls age 10 and 11 and boys age 7 and 5 in January and February.
The prosecutor handling the case could not be reached Friday afternoon to learn whether any of the three are parents of the children or the type of penalty possible if they are convicted. Warren police said they have no police report on the matter.
Colleen M. Stytle, 29; Robert A. Branch, 25; and Joseph L. Boone, 25, were arraigned on the charges Friday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
Judge W. Wyatt McKay set Stytle’s bond at $50,000, Boone’s and Branch’s at $20,000. All three entered innocent pleas.
Stytle faces the most charges — 14 — including four counts of felony child endangering, four counts of complicity to child endangering, five counts of misdemeanor child endangering and one count of misdemeanor complicity to falsification.
Stytle and Boone also are charged with abusing a fifth child, a 3-year-old girl.
Boone is charged with four counts of felony child endangering and five counts of misdemeanor child endangering. Branch is charged with four counts of felony child endangering.
Each faces the potential for a dozen or more years in prison if convicted.
Records at the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office indicate that law enforcement first booked members of the trio into custody Feb. 25. All were secretly indicted by a county grand jury Friday.
Stytle returns to court Sept. 10, Boone returns to court Sept. 12, and Branch returns Sept. 18.
