Cedar Point adding two rides in 2014

SANDUSKY

Cedar Point amusement park will add two new family rides on the Gemini Midway in 2014: Pipe Scream and Lake Erie Eagles.

Pipe Scream will combine aspects of a roller coaster and a flat ride. Riders will spin and coast over 302 feet of track, reaching a maximum height of 43 feet and a top speed of 43 mph.

Lake Erie Eagles is a classic thrill ride. Riders will sit in one of eight carriages suspended from arms 28 feet above the ground. As the ride begins, the carriages swing outward simulating the sensation of flight and a paddle allows guests to alter their flight experience.
