Cornersburg Baptist Church,, 3898 Tippecanoe Road, will host a 12-week support group to help people with any kind of addiction or mental difficulties from any past problems. The course incorporates a religious perspective.

Sessions, which will be limited to 15 participants, are planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, starting Sept. 3. Each week’s material is based on the previous week.

The small groups will be closed after the second week of class, Sept. 10.

Speaker will be the Rev. Julius Davis and congregation of Friendship Baptist Church of Girard.

Vision City, 2681 Youngstown Road, will host a special service at 5 p.m. Sunday with three churches.

Guests will be Bishop Emmitt L. Nevels Sr., prelate of Ohio West Jurisdiction of the International Churches of God in Christ and pastor of Nevels Temple C.O.G.I.C., and the Rev. Dr. Bennie Hardin of Metropolitan Baptist Church.

“The Giant Killers” will be the theme.

Jesus is the Way Ministries will sponsor a Christian family fellowship banquet at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Brentford House, 737 Myron St.

A speaker will give testimony about how God and Alcoholics Anonymous helped.

Host Michael Roberts will welcome different guests each week. They also will discuss people of the Bible and the saints. Spiritual music is part of the program.

‘Elvis’ Gospel

Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., will present ‘’Elvis Gospel Sunday’’ at 10 a.m. Sunday featuring Mark Lee Pringle as an early 1950s Elvis Presley and his Blue Moon Band.

Pringle has been portraying a 1950s Elvis for 11 years. He has performed in Memphis, Tenn., six times and won several look-a-like/sound-a-like contests over the years.
