Neighborhood faith celebration at 6 p.m. in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN

The Salvation Army Mahoning County Area Services and Now Youngstown have teamed up to host a neighborhood faith celebration to increase the peace in Youngstown.

The free event, starting at 6 p.m. today at The Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, includes carnival games, bounce house, music, testimonies, contests and prizes, and food, all free of charge.

Now Youngstown is comprised of community churches and faith-based organizations working in partnership with the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence, the Mayor’s Office and the Youngstown Police Department to reduce gun violence in Youngstown.
