Sunday, August 18, 2013

Oprah Winfrey’s interview tonight of Lindsay Lohan (9 p.m., OWN) is sure to attract a huge audience, curious to see what the actress has to say. Here are five other of Lohan’s recent TV appearances:

v “Chelsea Lately” (Aug. 5): A week after she left rehab, she guest-hosted for Chelsea Handler, earning mostly positive reviews for her shtick, which included jabs at Kristen Stewart and One Direction’s Harry Styles.

v “Anger Management” (April 11): A funny send-up of two troubled, tabloid-centric personalities: Playing herself, Lohan hires Charlie Sheen’s character to be her anger management therapist. But Charlie ends up sleeping with her and gets her in trouble after the paparazzi get wind.

v “Late Show with David Letterman” (April 9): Lohan bristled when Letterman asked about her forthcoming rehab stint, saying, “We didn’t discuss this in the pre-interview.” Letterman later told Lohan that rehab would be “a lifesaver, a career saver.”

v “Saturday Night Live” (April 3, 2012): Newsday’s Verne Gay described her lackluster guest-hosting stint thusly: “What viewers mostly saw was someone who looked a bit nervous, tenuous, rusty and in no mood to usurp the pros who were there to hold her hand.”

v “Today” (March 1, 2012): Among the tidbits she told Matt Lauer: “I really want to focus on my work and that’s the first time, I think, ever in my life that I’ve said that.”

“Secret Millionaire” (8 p.m., ABC): On a new episode of “Secret Millionaire,” Debbie Johnston, the founder of a lucrative health care company, goes undercover in Richmond, Calif., and works with grass-roots organizations devoted to improving the residents’ lives.

“Whodunit” (9 p.m., abc): The finale of “Whodunit” arrives and the “killer” is revealed. Our guess? That Colonel Mustard guy looks pretty guilty.

“True blood” (9 p.m., hbo): A lot of disgruntled fans will tell you that “True Blood” was truly awful this season. Perhaps for them, tonight’s season finale doesn’t come soon enough.
