AUCTIONS

Burghhill-Vernon Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host a basket auction Sunday at state routes 7 and 88 in Vernon Township. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and the drawing will be at 3 p.m. Admission price of $4 includes beverage and a cupcake. The kitchen will be open.

CRAFT SHOWS

Celebrate Poland is seeking artists, crafts people and nonprofit groups for the outdoor Celebrate Poland weekend June 29. The craft show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost for a 10-by-15-foot space is $30. For information call Barbara Banks at 330-757-4584.

FUNDRAISERS

Jackson Milton Elementary School will host a Mothers Day gala from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the school cafeteria. Patrons can shop for gifts from local vendors, and refreshments and snacks will be served. Proceeds will support the PTA. Also featured will be baby-sitting for kids 3 and older, free gift wrapping, a bake sale, a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle.

GARAGE, RUMMAGE SALES

Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., will sponsor a spring trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday (bargain-bag day). Coffee and doughnuts will be available.

Good Hope Cancer Relay Team for the Boardman Relay for Life will benefit from a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and May 6 and 7 at 56 Leighton Ave., Boardman. No early sales will be allowed. Items will include new prints, a rocking chair and kitchen items. Hot dogs and pop will be sold.

Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, will have a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments, food and baked goods will be available.

Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Poland, will have a rummage sale from 9 to 3 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to noon Friday.

Pricetown Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday (bake sale days) and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday (bag day).

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will sponsor its 40th annual garage, attic and basement sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (bag day).

Wickliffe Christian Church, 3939 Potomac Ave., Austintown, is sponsoring a spring rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be a lunch counter, bake sale, quilt raffle, quilted items and basket auction. For information call the church at 330-799-2183.

Columbiana Area Tourism Bureau is sponsoring Springtime in Columbiana with a French Market on Friday and Saturday in the parking lot of Grace Church on Main Street, Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. There will be a variety of vendors. Booth spaces are limited, and a minimum donation of $20 is requested. Vendors are responsible to provide tents, tables and chairs. Youngstown Christian School Athletic Boosters is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast and trunk sale Saturday at Highway Tabernacle Church, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. The breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to noon, and the trunk sale will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Single spaces are available for $20, and double spaces are $35.
