A northwest Ohio zoo is asking the public to help choose names for twin polar bears that were born in November and are expected to go on display in May.

The Toledo Zoo has narrowed the options to three names for each cub, one male and one female. People can vote for their favorites through the zoo’s webpage for the bears.

One option for the female cub is Holly, after prominent polar bear veterinarian Holly Reed. The other choices are the Inuit words Suka, meaning “fast,” or Tooteqa, meaning “wise goddess.”

The choices for the male cub are the Inuit words Sakari, for “sweet,” Desna, meaning “boss,” or Tunerk, the word for “gift.”
