Friday: The Hartford native qualified 42nd (owner points) for Sunday’s STP 400 at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.
Season to date: Blaney is 27th (123 points) in the Sprint Cup standings. He’s up one spot from last week after a 25th-place finish in last week’s NRA 500.
