AKRON

Anna Barnhart hit a three-run homer while Taylor Miokovic hit two doubles in the Akron Racers’ Ohio Invitational game. Aleah Hughes (3-0) tossed a three-hitter.

Poland 13, Akron Manchester 0

AKRON

Kasie Serich (4-2) tossed a seven-hit shutout while Marissa Trevis hit two doubles for the Bulldogs (7-2). Miokovic’s three hits were a solo homer and two doubles that drove in four runs. Ally Deemer’s two hits brought home to runs.

Akron Springfield 13, Canfield 3

AKRON

Laura Stubbs had three hits for Akron Springfield (8-1). For the Cardinals (2-3), Alexa Schmidt had two hits and two RBIs.

Austintown Fitch 16, Cardinal Mooney 5

BOARDMAN

Cali Mikovich’s three hits included a home run and double, and drove in two runs. Alex Corradi’s two hits included a double and drove in three runs. For the Cardinals, Marche Venable and Angela Penza hit doubles.

K. Davis tossed a five-hitter for the Polar Bears. She struck out seven batters and walked one.

Canfield 7, Westlake 6

AKRON

Kayley Keller drove in three runs for the Cardinals. She doubled in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning. Abby Baker struck out six and allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over five innings.

North Canton Hoover 10, Poland 0

AKRON

Trevis hit two doubles and Arlia Duarte singled for the Bulldogs, who committed five errors. Hoover is 8-0.

BASEBALL

Saturday

Western Reserve 21, Bristol 3

BERLIN CENTER

Winning pitcher John Clegg had two hits and drove in four runs for the Blue Devils (4-3). Parker Clegg’s three hits included a triple and he brought home three runs. John Timko and Tim O’Connell doubled while Evan Nesbitt drove in two RBIs. The Panthers are 0-2.

Massillon Jackson 7, Howland 3

MASSILLON

For the Tigers, Kurt Kuszmaul’s two hits included a triple and he scored twice.

Howland 4, Avon 1

AVON

John-Mark Weisman’s two hits included a double. Winning pitcher Kyle Watson allowed one run over four innings. He struck out six and walked none.
