Mahoning Democrats will drive voters to polling places

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Democratic Party today announced its “No Voter Left Behind” campaign that includes a 15-passenger van that will drive around the county, primarily in Youngstown, registering people to vote and taking them to the board of elections for early voting.

The party rolled out the campaign today, starting on the city’s South Side.

The Ford E-350 vehicle, adorned with signs of Democratic candidates on the ballot, will serve as the party’s mobile voter registration headquarters, driving around communities to register people to vote wherever they are in the county, said Chairman David Betras. Oct. 9 is the deadline to register for this election.

Also, beginning Tuesday, the first day of early voting in Ohio, the van will take people to and from the board of elections to cast ballots.

To schedule a ride on the van to the elections board to vote, call 330-503-5085.
