'Ducky Derby' will benefit Trumbull domestic violence shelter

CORTLAND

Someplace Safe will host a “Ducky Derby to Quack Down on Domestic Violence” at noon Oct. 6 at Lake Vista, 303 N. Mecca St.

The event will begin with activities such as children’s games, food vendors, and a wine, cheese, and “quackers” tent.

The duck derby will start at 2 p.m.

To participate in the derby, interested parties can pay $5 for a single duck, $25 for five ducks, $50 for 13 ducks, and $100 for 27 ducks.

All proceeds will benefit Someplace Safe Inc. domestic violence shelter.
