Asbestos removal complete at Youngstown annex

YOUNGSTOWN

An asbestos-removal project at the City Hall Annex building is finished.

The city received $200,000 from the state to remove asbestos from the 80-year-old building at 9 W. Front St.

The work was done by Safeco Environmental, a Marion, Pa., company in about two weeks.

The 80-year-old annex was built by the federal government and served as a post office and federal courthouse.
