Plans for dental clinic in Campbell fall through

Plans for a $1.2 million dental clinic on McCartney Road in Campbell have fallen through, said city Administrator Jack Dill.

A developer called United Dental Group LLC had planned to build the clinic on 3.6 acres the city had donated.

The property is the site of a former nightclub that burned and was torn down in 2010.

City council had approved giving the land to the developer last year, but now that the plan has fallen through, the land reverts back to the city’s ownership, Dill said.

The dental company is owned by Alvin G. Sullivan, who owns a financial- consulting business in Girard.

Plans had called for 4,000-square-foot clinic to include “all phases of dentistry,” according to Vindicator files.

Dill said the developer “couldn’t move forward at this time.”
