Boardman police have arrested two young men in connection with a Saturday robbery at Circle K on Lockwood Boulevard.

Bryan W. Sheely, 18, of New Middletown, and Brett A. Irwin, 17, of Boardman, are charged with aggravated robbery.

The two are accused of threatening a Circle K store employee Saturday night with a knife while demanding money and taking money from the cash drawer and six packs of cigarettes, police said.

They were arrested about 9:30 p.m. Monday. Sheely was taken to Mahoning County jail Monday and arraigned Tuesday in Mahoning County Area Court.

He has a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 6.

Irwin was taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.

Police used security footage from Circle K to identify the suspects.

Police still are investigating a separate robbery that occurred about 8:50 p.m. Saturday at Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.

Store employees told police they were robbed at gunpoint by two masked men, according to reports.
