A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Sept. 12

Disturbance: Two males were involved in a disturbance at the Evergreen Motel, 485 W. Main St. One man claimed the other threatened to shoot him and after an argument, shoved him in the back. Police advised both men to stay away from each other.

AUSTINTOWN

Sept. 17

Theft: A catalytic converter was stolen at Hillbrook Apartments, 462 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A catalytic converter was cut out of a vehicle parked at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A catalytic converter was taken from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A catalytic converter was taken from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Theft: A catalytic converter was stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Theft: A catalytic converter was taken from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Fraud: Fraudulent transactions were reported at a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.

Fraud: A Verizon account was compromised at a home in the 2000 block of Woodgate Street.

Theft: A wallet was stolen at Taco Bell, 850 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Attempted burglary: An attempt was made to enter a home in the 3000 block of Chaucer Lane through a window.

Drug offense: Police charged Thomas Reto Jr., 54, of 7013 Marinthana Road, Boardman, with possession of drug paraphernalia after his arrest in the township.

Burglary: A window was pried open at a home in the 3000 block of Chaucer Lane, but it is unknown if anything was stolen.

Sept. 18

Attempted burglary: A window on the side of a home in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road was broken out, but it does not appear entry was gained.

Theft: A total of $494.75 and some checks were stolen from the band room at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Aggravated menacing: A male was threatened by another male at a home in the 60 block of Westminster Avenue.

Fraud: Unauthorized purchases were made at a home in the 6000 block of Meander Run.

Theft: A bank bag was stolen at ABC Motor Credit, 4508 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Clifford Raynovich,33, of 90 Tremble Ave., Campbell, on a warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge.

Sept. 19

Warrant: Police arrested Dennis Little, 51, of 382 Alameda Ave., Youngstown, on two warrants for theft and kidnapping.

Fraud: A credit card was compromised at Home Savings and Loan, 4259 Kirk Road.

Burglary: Someone broke into a home in the 600 block of North Four Mile Run Road and took jewelry, a safe, a handgun, cash and checks.

Sept.20

Warrant: Police arrested Anthony Seidita, 47, of 116 S. Dehoff Drive, on a warrant for probation violation.

Theft: A catalytic converter was taken from an auto parked at a home in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized purchases were reported at a home in the 3000 block of Brandomyne Avenue.

Burglary: A camera and GPS were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Chaucer Lane.

Burglary: A computer and cash were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Chaucer Lane.

Theft: An iPhone was stolen at Buffalo Wild Wings, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Televisions and a computer were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Sept. 21

Drug offense: Police charged Robert W. Rodgers, 33, of 3329 DeCamp Road, with possession of marijuana after his arrest in the township.

Criminal mischief: A driveway was spray painted at a home in the 90 block of North Beverly Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Sheila Wesson, 37, of 696 Overland Place, on a warrant for theft and misuse of a credit card.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a home in the 200 block of Idlewood Road.

Theft: A debit card was stolen at Casal Aveda, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Joseph Zimmerman, 21, of 3852 New Road, on a warrant for theft and drug abuse.

Warrant: Police arrested Nicholas Rolfe, no age given, 2996 Meadow Lane, for criminal trespassing.

Aggravated menacing: An 11-year-old child was threatened on a school bus in the 3000 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Summons: Police issued a summons to Miranda Moore, 30, of 5705 Baylor Ave., for failure to confine a dog.

Sept. 22

Disturbance: Several males were reported fighting at Chipper’s, 5 N. Edgehill Ave.

Fraud: An unauthorized Dominion East Ohio Gas account was opened at a home in the 5000 block of Elmwood Avenue.

Theft: A wallet was taken from a residence in the 2000 block of South Four Mile Run Road.

Theft: Someone pumped $38.05 in gasoline at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road, and left without paying.

Menacing: Verbal threats and Facebook posts were reported at a home in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Drive.

Robbery: A male suspect pulled a knife on a victim and demanded money in the parking lot at Burger King, 5496 Clarkins Drive.

Disorderly conduct: Police charged Richard Benish, 59, of 2751 Spring Meadow Circle, with disorderly conduct after his arrest at Speedway, 4401 Kirk Road.

Attempted burglary: A man attempted to gain entry to a condo in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle.

Sept. 23

Theft: A suspect fled Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road, with an unspecified amount of merchandise.
