Youngstown State took a 21-7 lead on Northern Iowa early in the second quarter on a 25-yard TD pass from Kurt Hess to tight end Nate Adams.

It was Adams' first career touchdown and it came on a nifty third-and-1 call, where Adams broke open down the left sideline and Hess hit him in stride. Adams did the rest.
