Monster trucks coming to Covelli

Tickets go on sale today for the Cocca’s Pizza Toughest Monster Truck Tour, which will return to Covelli Centre for 7:30 p.m. shows Feb. 1 and 2.

Six monster trucks will compete, including world record-holder Bigfoot, along with Equalizer, Tailgator, Toxic and two others.

Adult tickets (outside the Gold Circle) are available through Oct. 19 with a $4 discount. Children’s tickets (2 to 12) are $10. All tickets include a pre-show pit pass. After Oct. 19, free pit passes will be available at Cocca’s Pizza or for $5 at the Covelli box office, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000. All seats are reserved.

Artisans festival and cruise-in

LEETONIA

The 27th annual Artisans Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Wick Park. It will feature arts, crafts, antiques and collectibles, as well as food vendors and entertainment.

Admission and parking are free. More than 80 artisans are expected to show their wares.

A flower show and book sale will be in the Leetonia library all day. Children’s activities and a sidewalk chalk art contest will be featured.

A car cruise-in will take place on Walnut Street, from Park to Wood streets. Entertainers will include Jigsaw Rodeo, the Noble Brothers, the Leetonia High School cheerleaders and marching showband.

Hopper painting heads to auction

NEW YORK

A painting of a Cape Cod autumn scene by Edward Hopper is coming to a New York City auction, where it’s expected to fetch as much as $12 million.

Christie’s says “October on Cape Cod” is one of the last paintings by the American artist to remain in private hands.

It will be offered for sale Nov. 28, coinciding with a major retrospective of Hopper’s work in Paris.
