OVI checkpoint tonight in Howland Township
HOWLAND — The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Howland Township Police Department, will operate an Operating a Vehicle Impaired checkpoint from 10 p.m. tonight until 3 a.m. Saturday on state Route 46 in Howland Township.
The checkpoint, funded by a federal grant, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
The highway patrol asks motorists to get a designated driver or make other travel arrangements if they plan to consume alcohol.
