AUXILIARIES

Sulmona Valley Auxiliary will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bedford Trails in Lowellville. Members will be contacted for reservations. Sally Falasca is hostess. President Sandy Redeske will update members on the club calendar.

CLASSES

South High School January and June Classes of 1946 will meet at noon Wednesday at Denny’s on Route 224 in Boardman. Classmates, spouses and friends are welcome.

CLUBS

College Club of Sharon will begin its season with a luncheon at noon Oct. 13 at Oak Tree Country Club, Shenango Township, Pa. An original acoustic and verse program will be presented by Vincent Anastasi and sons, Sebastian and Benjamin. The cost is $20; call Janet Kurtanich at 724-699-5171 for reservations. Mahoning Valley Cribbage Club will meet at noon Sept. 28 at St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. New players are welcome. For information call 330-530-1254.

GRANGES

Dublin Grange will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday for a potluck dinner. Election of officers will follow.

ORDERS

Youngstown Chapter, Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, will have an open public meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dublin Grange, 6571 Fairground Blvd., Canfield. The program will feature Judy Nowak of Warren speaking on “Divine health that leads to healing” with a question and answer period following. Nowak is a certified reiki master teacher through the American Reiki Master Association. Discussion will follow about the Rosicrucian order, an ancient and fraternal group of men and women who study topics of science, mysticism and history. Refreshments will be served. A memorial ceremony honoring those who have perpetuated knowledge will be at 3:45 p.m.

POLITICAL CLUBS

Girard Men’s Democrat Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. the last Thursday at the Parkwood Youth Center, Lamancusa Hall.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the rosary in the church followed by a meeting in the church hall, at 618 Ohio Ave.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

SERVICE CLUBS

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E. Singles Group, a social group for divorced, widowed and separated people, meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. The following activities are scheduled: Saturday, road trip to Grove City Outlets, meet at the church at 10 a.m.; Tuesday, boccie in Boardman Park at 6 p.m.; Thursday, annual business meeting at church at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, lobby of Movies 8, Shops at Boardman Park, 6:30 p.m.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Groups will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Easter Seals Adult Day Program meeting room, 721 Boardman Poland Road, Boardman, enter the rear of the building, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Education Building, 251 S. Mended Hearts, a heart support group for heart surgery survivors and their families, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Azalea Room at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman Campus. The theme is “Ask the Doctor” and the panel will include Drs. Karim Hussein, cardiologist, and Prakash Roy, nephrologist. Refreshments will be served. Nar-Anon, a worldwide fellowship for those affected by someone else’s addiction, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 5211 Mahoning Ave., Suite 3000, Austintown. The 12-step program offers help by sharing experience, strength and hope. Newcomers are welcome at 6:45.

Parents Without Partners Portage County Chapter 600, 1902 Crystal Drive, Akron, a single parent support group, will have a dance from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Oct. 20 at Ritchie Memorial Shelter House, 109 West Ave., Tallmadge. Music will be by DJ Mel. Cost is $8. Nonmembers are invited to join the Halloween dance theme and are encouraged to wear a costume. There will be prizes.
