Woman arraigned today for Youngstown's latest homicide

YOUNGSTOWN — A judge set bond at $20,000 for the 23-year-old woman charged with the city’s most recent homicide.

Jessica Walker, 23, of 1423 Maplewood Court, appeared for arraignment today before Judge Elizabeth Kobly of Youngstown Municipal Court on a murder charge. She is charged with the Sunday stabbing death of 26-year-old Shawn Meadows.

Judge Kobly appointed an attorney to represent Walker, who said she just recently lost her job at McDonald’s and could not afford an attorney. Kobly set the $20,000 bond after prosecutors told the court Walker has been cooperative in the investigation.
