DIVISION I

Aurora 25-25-25, Austintown Fitch 20-22-23

STOW

The Falcons (7-16) were eliminated in the first round of the district at Stow-Munroe Falls High. Fitch got five serving points, three aces and eight assists from Tiffany Rapovy, and six kills and two blocks from Maura Bianco. Alana Callahan added eight digs and Sarah Melfe had two blocks. Aurora (14-9) advances to play Walsh Jesuit on Wednesday.

Twinsburg 25-25-25, Warren Harding 9-9-15

STOW

Warren Harding was eliminated while Twinsburg advances to play Nordonia on Wednesday.

DIVISION II

Liberty 25-27-25, Struthers 20-25-20

BOARDMAN

McKenzie Stanley led Liberty (18-5) with 14 kills, two aces and 17 assists as the Leopards advanced. Jenna Sowell added 10 kills and seven digs while Mariah Willis had 25 assists and seven points. For Struthers, Ashley Haffron had 10 digs and five kills, Missy Soldresson had 10 kills and Halle Smrek added 14 assists. Liberty plays Marlington on Wednesday.

Cardinal Mooney 25-25-25, Poland 22-17-23

BOARDMAN

Gina Patella had 38 assists, Brie Ozengher had 25 points and eight digs and Lonena Cancel had 21 kills and eight digs for Mooney which advances to face Salem. For Poland (10-12), senior Kayla Smith had 28 assists, junior Allison Berend had nine kills and six service points, sophomore Aleah Hughes had 19 digs, 13 kills and six points, and sophomore Arlia Duarte had eight points, six blocks and four kills.

Ravenna forfeits to Canfield

Canfield advances to play West Branch on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

DIVISION III

Girard 25-25-25, Ursuline 10-13-19

SALEM

Third-seeded Girard (12-11) advances to face East Palestine on Thursday. Ursuline bows out at 7-13. Callie Jay led the Indians with 15 kills, seven service points, two aces and three digs. Hayley Spalla had 35 assists and Taylor Bell had 11 points, three aces, six kills and four digs. Hailey Noufer contributed seven points, four aces and four digs. Second-seeded Springfield, which had a first-round bye, also plays Thursday. The Tigers face Mogadore (13-10) which defeated Rootstown (11-12) 25-18, 25-19, 25-14 on Monday.

Pymatuning Valley 25-25-25, LaBrae 19-18-23

LEAVITTSBURG

The Lakers (15-8) knocked out the tournament host in the district at LaBrae High. Michealia Skleres led Pymatuning Valley with 11 points, nine digs and 14 assists. Heather Brant added 14 kills and five serving aces and Kelsea Brown had seven kills, three aces and two blocks. Pymatuning Valley advances to play Gilmour Academy on Wednesday.

Newton Falls 25-26-25, Grand Valley 13-24-16

LEAVITTSBURG

Junior middle hitter Haley Spletzer had 11 kills, 17 points, five aces and four digs; Hannah Zelle had 14 assists, 14 digs, nine points and four aces and junior middle hitter Brooke Brecca had 10 kills, 10 points, three aces and two blocks for Newton Falls (12-9). The 14 assists by Zelle, a junior outside hitter/setter, set a school record of 334 for the season. The previous best was 333 by Lindsey Brockway.Newton Falls meets Berksire on Thursday at 5:30 at LaBrae.

DIVISION IV

Crestview 21-25-25-25, Western Reserve 25-21-14-20

LISBON

Morgan Newbauer recorded 33 assists and 20 digs, Savannah Elwonger had 16 kills and 15 digs, Adrienne Huston had 23 digs and Kailee Piverotto had 14 serving points and four aces to lead Crestivew. The Rebels advance to face Heartland Christian on Wednesday. Western Reserve was led by Linley Mamonis with 17 points and 10 kills, Rachel Maslach with 13 points and 17 kills and Kaline Wisniewski with four blocks.

Wellsville 25-25-25, Canton Heritage 9-9-16

LISBON

Second-seeded Wellsville advances to face Southern with its first-round sweep. Mystic Beatty recorded 20 assists, Angelica Scarabino served six aces and Jayla Martin, Sarah Skinner, Mckenna Pierson and Maleya Fultz had four kills each for the Tigers.

Fairport Harbor 25-20-25-25, Badger 22-25-20-12

KINSMAN

The host Braves were eliminated from the tournament at Badger High despite nine assists and seven digs from Gabby Miller and 15 serving pionts and four aces from Taylor Kramar. Liz Emery added eight kills for Badger. Fairport Harbor will play Maplewood in the second round.

Maplewood 27-25-25, Bristol 25-22-21

KINSMAN

Brooke Dawson had 15 kills and two blocks and Brooke Mahan added 16 serving points and two blocks as the Rockets advanced to face Fairport Harbor. Becca Shelton added 20 assists for Maplewood. Bristol was led by Kylie Stoneman with 10 serving points, three aces and 10 digs. Stephanie Keller also had 10 points and three aces and Morgan Powell recorded six assists.
