ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the gathering room at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave. After the business meeting Dr. Ronald Shaklee of Youngstown State University will entertain with Christmas music on his guitar. There will be an auction of new items, and a $12 holiday lunch will be served. For information call 330-702-0567.

Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will host a Christmas dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at Holiday Inn, Boardman. Meal will include a choice of chicken francaise, baked scrod or stuffed pork chop with scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, salad, rolls and butter and assorted pies. The Fellowship Quartet of Hubbard will entertain. The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley will be the charitable cause, and gifts will be exchanged. Cost is $20. Trumbull Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon Dec. 11 at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St., Niles. Campbell Memorial January and June Classes of 1948 will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s Restaurant, Route 224, Boardman. Class members and spouses are welcome.

Campbell Memorial Class of 1955 will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at What’s Cookin at the Mathews Road Plaza in Boardman for the monthly breakfast. Class members, spouses and guests are welcome.

Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County will have its Christmas party Dec. 7 at Gardenbrook Banquet Hall, state Route 5, north of Cortland. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

Austintown Friends of the Library will meet Dec. 17 for a light brunch for members and guests. Reservations are required at $7 each, and seating is limited. Tickets will be sold from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Austintown Branch on Raccoon Road, or call Debbie Liptak at the main branch of the library before Dec. 8. The Dana Vocal Society will present “Songs of the Season.”

Friends of the Poland Library will meet for refreshments at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the library. The program and business will follow. Dave and Glenda Hoagland will tell about their summer trip to Cuba. Hostesses will be Raika Dasui, Emma Eggleston, Carol McCoy and Sue Perry. The public is invited. Dues are $5 per year. If the library is still closed Dec. 4, the meeting will be canceled and the program rescheduled for a later date.

GUILDS

McDonald Literary Guild will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday at Woodland Park United Methodist Church.

LEAGUES

Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will have a Christmas social at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Bruno’s Restaurant, 1984 Boardman-Poland Road, Poland. Members are asked to take a Christmas gift for a family selected for the holiday season. The club is open to all women over 18 residing in Mahoning Trumbull, and Columbiana counties.
