Vice President Joe Biden will visit Youngstown company

YOUNGSTOWN — Vice President Joe Biden will make a campaign visit Wednesday to M7 Technologies, a Youngstown advanced manufacturing company.

Biden will discuss President Barack Obama’s efforts to “create an economy built to last,” according to a campaign email, as the Democratic ticket seeks re-election in November.

An advance team from the campaign visited M7 Technologies on Ohio Works Drive last week.

M7 builds and repairs machinery in the fields of advanced energy, aerospace, defense, heavy industrial, mining, automotive and medical.

This will be Biden’s first presidential re-election campaign stop in the Mahoning Valley. Ohio is a key swing-state in the general election.

On Oct. 4, 2010, Biden campaigned for then-Gov. Ted Strickland, a fellow Democrat, in Mahoning County.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Biden came to the Valley three times.
