Pittsburgh man, 78, killed in crash

A 78-year-old Pittsburgh man died Saturday morning when he stopped his vehicle in the eastbound right lane of Interstate 376 and was struck from behind by a truck, according to a report issued by the Gibsonia, Pa., Barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police.

Killed was Thomas P. Hughes. The driver of the truck, Cal L. Dittman, 26, of Pendleton, Pa., was not injured in the crash that occurred at 11:15 a.m. in Lawrence County. No citations were issued.
