NEW CASTLE, PA.

A New Castle, Pa., woman was injured Saturday morning when the car she was driving southbound on New Galilee Road in Darlington Township ran off the road on a curve and hit a culvert and a tree. The crash occurred at 8:35 a.m. just south of Haney Road.

The driver, Wendy Fisher, 47, was taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle for treatment of minor injuries, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. Fisher, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for driving outside of her designated lane.

Mahoning County Department of Job and Family Services, 345 Oak Hill Ave., said customer entrance “D” will close at 3:30 p.m. this week. The lobby area will be under construction. Customers will receive service at a temporary area. Agency hours remain unchanged and are 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Agreement OK’d

Trumbull County Children Services approved a 2012 agreement that pays the prosecutor’s office $277,000 to continue the work of the prosecutor’s four-person Child Assault Prosecution Division. In 2011, the division’s work resulted in 24 adult indictments, 23 adult convictions and 12 juvenile convictions.
