Spouse: Married Charles Brant on Nov. 28, 1928. He is deceased.

Children: Marjorie Fergus of Boardman; Dorothy Powrie of Bradenton, Fla.; and Shirley Curley of Ashland, Ohio.

Number of grandchildren: 13.

Number of great-grandchildren: 9.

Number of great-great grandchildren: 11.

Employment: She worked for Mazda Lamp (General Electric) and Truscon Steel. During World War II, Mrs. Brant was a “Rosie the Riveter.” A cultural icon, “Rosie the Riveter” referred to a woman who took a job on an assembly line to help the war effort. She welded tank threads for the Navy.

Additional information: Mrs. Brant liked to can fruits and vegetables. She also loved to travel. With her husband she traveled a good part of the country and lived in Florida for 20 months.
