New Springifleld church hosts program on youth drug culture


NEW SPRINGFIELD — "Hidden in Plan Sight," a free program about understanding today's youth drug culture, will be presented from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the New Springfield Church of God, 3649 E. Garfield Road.

The free program is sponsored by the Springfield Township Police Department's Juvenile Diversion Program, the Struthers Juvenile Diversion Program, the Coalition for a Drug-Free Mahoning County and the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic.

Program presenters are Joe Glover, OCPS I and Cathy Loomis, LICDC, OCPS II, with Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Erik Kochanowski.

Continuing education credit is available upon request for chemical dependency professionals and counselors, social workers and therapists.

Children should not attend the presentation. Refreshments will be provided.

"Hidden in Plain Sight" is a program of the Community Solutions Association, funded by ASAP, the Trumbull County Opiate Task Force, and the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board.
