Youngstown man indicted on murder, reckless homicide charges


YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury today handed up indictments against the Youngstown man accused of shooting his girlfriend inside his South Side home last month.

Gregory Carlini, 33, of Bancroft Avenue, was indicted on one count of murder that could send him to prison for the rest of his life and one count of reckless homicide, a third-degree felony that carries a maximum five-year prison term.

Carlini is accused of killing 33-year-old Erica Elford of Berlin Center. He is in Mahoning County jail on a $1 million bond.
