Motorcyclist in critical condition after hit by minivan

A man was seriously injured in a wreck between a motorcycle and a minivan, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Robert M. Emmerling, 64, of East Liverpool was in critical condition Wednesday night, St. Elizabeth Health Center said.

Emmerling was operating the motorcycle on South Avenue at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday when he struck the minivan, which was turning left onto South from McClurg and had run a stop sign, police said. A juvenile from Canfield was driving the minivan, police said. The juvenile was not taken to a hospital.
