Police say body found along Ohio road may be missing boy

TERRACE PARK, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a person who was apparently struck by a vehicle and found dead along a southwest Ohio roadway may be a 16-year-old boy missing since early Sunday, when he left a party to walk home.

Multiple media outlets report a man told police on Sunday that he thought he hit a deer while driving along the roadway in suburban Cincinnati. Authorities searched nearby Tuesday, and the body was found in a wooded area about 20 feet from the roadway.

Investigators say Collin Barton was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and blue jeans, and that description matched the body. Barton is from nearby Terrace Park.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said a person of interest was being interviewed but no charges had been filed by Tuesday evening.
