BREAKING NEWS: Gas leak repaired, Liberty Township roads reopened

LIBERTY — Township officials have reopened a section state Route 304 between Detroit and Sampson Drive that had been closed a couple hours for a natural gas leak.

Dominion East Ohio Gas crews repaired the leak around 11:47 a.m.

The apartments near the leak at 821 and 829 Church Hill Road were evacuated, but residents have now returned to their dwellings.

The leak began when Ohio Department of Transportation was digging near the apartments and accidentally struck the gas line.
