Wednesday, March 21, 2012

CAMPBELL — The Red Cross is assisting a Campbell family after their Bright Avenue home caught fire Tuesday evening.

Firefighters were called to 37 Bright Ave. around 7:30 p.m. and found the blaze confined to an upstairs bedroom crawl space. A woman and her three children were able to escape unharmed, firefighters said.

All of Campbell’s firefighters were called out, even those who were off-duty, and Coitsville Township firefighters also responded as part of an automatic mutual aid agreement. The fire was under control about 20 minutes after crews arrived, firefighters said.

The house sustained about $15,000 in loss, according to reports.
