YBI, TECHudson to sign agreement

YOUNGSTOWN

A signing ceremony Monday at 1:30 p.m. will formalize an agreement between the Entrepreneurial Center of Hudson (TECHudson) and the Youngstown Business Incubator, 247 W. Federal St., that aligns the business operations of the two incubators.

The agreement, the first such pact in northeast Ohio, allows clients of both incubators to receive significant operational support and universal business methodologies for growth.

The YBC specializes in business-to-business software development. The goal of TECHudson, launched in July 2011, is to attract technology-based startup companies to the Hudson area. It provides entrepreneurs with resources to grow their businesses and offers office space, business counsel and other business services.

Blue Wolf Tavern to open Wolves Den

GIRARD

Blue Wolf Tavern of Youngstown is having a grand opening Tuesday of its second restaurant location, Wolves Den on U.S. Route 422 at Creekside Golf Dome. The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

The expansion is due, in part, to the recent growth and development happening along the 422 strip in the Youngstown/Girard area.

“We have been looking to grow the Blue Wolf name, specifically in Trumbull County,” said Joe Rzonsa, executive chef and co-owner.

His business partner, Rick Racick, a longtime Girard resident and supporter of growth and investment along the 422 strip, was the driving force behind the opening of Wolves Den. It is a full- service restaurant and bar that serves lunch, dinner and has carry-out available.

Brown will attend a jobs open house

CANTON

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Avon, will join officials from Chesapeake Energy Corp. for a jobs open house in Canton in early April. Brown’s office is working to help qualified Ohio workers find available employment opportunities.

The company is searching for experienced, full-time employees for these positions in Ohio: floor men, field technicians, pumpers, compressor mechanic trainee, equipment operators, electronic technicians, maintenance technicians, pipeline technicians, facility operators and service technicians.

Veterans are encouraged to attend, but all qualified applicants will be considered. The event is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 5 at the Kent State University-Stark Campus’ University Center at 6000 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton.

“Service members who risk their lives protecting our nation shouldn’t have to wonder whether or not they’ll be able to find a job when they leave the service,” said Brown, who will be on hand with additional resources for Ohio veterans and workers.

Interested applicants should call 800-594-7036.
