Q. Is Daphne Oz the wife or daughter of Dr. Oz? “The View” is on ABC at 1 p.m. Monday through Friday; she is one of the four chefs.
A. First of all, you are confusing “The View” with “The Chew,” the new ABC daytime show about food-related topics; that is what’s in that time slot and where Daphne Oz is a co-host. That said, according to her ABC bio, Daphne Oz is the daughter of Dr. Mehmet and Lisa Oz; Mehmet Oz is, of course, better known as TV’s Dr. Oz.
Q. I need the name of the show where a young man was thrown out of law school when he was caught taking tests for others. He had a photographic memory. He was running away from drug dealers and walked into a lawyer’s office who was interviewing potential trainees for his law firm. He was hired even though he did not have a law degree. Also, is it coming back?
A. Although a couple of the details differ from what you remember, you most likely are thinking of “Suits,” a USA Network series starring Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht. It will be back this summer.
Q. One of my favorite holiday movies is “A Christmas Visitor” starring Dee Wallace Stone. It is about a Christmas in Australia and is also known by “Bushfire Moon.” I have been unable to locate it in any form. Can you help?
A. Apparently, you should look for the movie under the title “Miracle Down Under”; that is the name on a VHS version of a film set in Australia around Christmas and featuring Dee Wallace Stone. I have seen that VHS for sale on Amazon.com. I have not found an authorized DVD.
Q. I was wondering what happened to “Men of a Certain Age” on TNT. And what’s next for the three stars?
A. Since you are asking what’s next, you must suspect that the show was canceled — and it was.
Ray Romano, who also was an executive producer on the series, has lent his voice to several new “Ice Age” productions and guest-starred on “The Middle,” which stars his “Everybody Loves Raymond” wife, Patricia Heaton. Andre Braugher recently signed up for a pilot called “Last Resort,” about the crew of a nuclear submarine who, after defying orders, takes refuge on an island and declare themselves an independent nation — with nuclear weapons. And TVLine.com recently reported that Scott Bakula will appear on several of the remaining episodes of “Desperate Housewives,” playing Bree’s attorney.
Q. Could you please tell me if “Rubicon,” a really good series on AMC, is coming back? I hope it hasn’t been canceled.
A. It has. The series lasted just one season.
Q. I noticed in the credits for AMC’s “Hell on Wheels” that the executive producer was Jeremy Gold. Could this possibly be the same Jeremy Gold who won the Main Event at the World Series of Poker a few years ago?
A. I think you are confusing Jeremy Gold the producer with Jamie Gold the poker player, who won the Main Event in 2006. Jamie Gold has some show-business connections, but not, as far as I can tell, to “Hell on Wheels.”
Q. I would like to know if/when the Starz series “Camelot” would be returning.
A. It will not be. The series was dropped after a single season.
