Manning: Peyton Manning worked out for Tennessee in Knoxville. Titans general manager Ruston Webster said he thought Manning “looked comfortable throwing the ball and we had a good visit. This is another important step in the process.” Manning spent eight hours meeting with Tennessee executives on Wednesday. Webster was joined at the workout by Titans head coach Mike Munchak, chief operating officer Mike Reinfeldt, offensive coordinator Chris Palmer, quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains and strength coach Steve Watterson. Saturday was Manning’s third workout for teams this week. On Friday, the four-time NFL MVP worked out at Duke for Denver. Tuesday night he worked out at the Blue Devils’ facilities for San Francisco. Manning has been rehabbing in North Carolina following a string of neck surgeries.

Chiefs: The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to contracts with veteran offensive tackle Eric Winston and quarterback Brady Quinn. Winston was released by the Houston Texas on Monday in a surprising move that saved the team about $4.5 million against the salary cap. He had started every game he played in over the past five seasons at right tackle. Winston also will play on the right side for the Chiefs. He takes over for Barry Richardson, who became a free agent after struggling much of last season. Quinn hasn’t appeared in a regular-season game since 2009 with Cleveland. He was a backup with Denver last season.

Dolphins: Former Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Matt Flynn is being courted by the Miami Dolphins. Flynn visited the Dolphins after they were eliminated from consideration by Peyton Manning. Flynn was a backup the past four years for Green Bay, where his offensive coordinator was Joe Philbin, the Dolphins’ new head coach.

Colts: The Colts’ defense is starting to fill up with ex-Baltimore Ravens as the team has signed free agent Tom Zbikowski. The safety is the second former Baltimore player to join new coach Chuck Pagano in Indianapolis. Indy also signed 298-pound defensive end Cory Redding from Baltimore. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Zbikowski played the past four seasons in Baltimore. He has 49 career tackles, two interceptions, one sack and 58 special teams tackles.

Rams: Free agent center Scott Wells is on his way out of Green Bay after agreeing to a contract with the St. Louis Rams. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the deal was for four years and $24 million with $13 million guaranteed. Incentives could drive the worth of the deal up to $25.5 million. Wells’ departure leaves the Packers searching for a replacement, which would likely come through free agency or the draft.
