Submit info for Holy Week, Easter

The Vindicator will run a listing of area services that are open to the public in observance of Palm Sunday, April 1; Holy Thursday, April 5; Good Friday, April 6; Holy Saturday, April 7; and Easter, April 8. The deadline to submit information is 5 p.m. March 28. Publication will be March 31.

Information should include the denomination and name of the church, address, city or suburb, the day, time, type of service, your name and a phone number for verification.

Messiah sing-along

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, will host a Messiah sing-along at 4 p.m. Sunday with the Seraphim and Stambaugh choruses.

Mime ministry

Students on a Spiritual Mime Ministry Journey for Jesus! will present the Passion mime production “For You, For Me” at 7 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St. Christ’s Passion walk is shown through music and movement in the original production with original music is by Leonard and Kay Suzelis. A free-will offering will be taken.

Gospel sing-along

Kim Ruscitti and Gary Jones will be special musical guests at a Gospel sing-along at 6:30 p.m. March 24 at New Life Christian Fellowship, 2088 Tibbetts Wick Road. Kay and Ernie Cunningham will host the family friendly event.

Outdoor Mass

An outdoor Mass and “Iron Curtain” Stations of the Cross will be at 11:30 a.m. March 25 by Holy Apostles Parish at the Shrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflilcted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave. The parish is Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Catholic Church, Our Lady of Hungary and St. Stephen of Hungary.

The Rev. Joseph E. Walker will be guest speaker for the Pursued (Young Adult) Ministry of Restoration Christian Fellowship, 151 Folsom St. N.W., at 7 p.m. March 24. There will be special musical performances by the group “Favor” along with poetry, miming and praise and worship.

Refreshments will follow.

The Circle for Spiritual Aid to Life, based on the teachings of Bruno Groening, a German healer and teacher, will host a 90-minute information lecture at 5 p.m. March 27 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 Broad St., where it is being held but not affiliated with. New Life Ministries

Pastor Mike Guarnieri, founding pastor of the Father’s House, an Assembly of God Church in the Greater Akron area, will be guest speaker when Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets Monday in Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park.

Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7.

Spring revival

Fellowship Baptist Church, 102 Penn Ave., will host a spring revival at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday with the Rev. Larry W. Parker, host pastor.

Community choir

The Emancipation Choir will sing at the Baptist Pastor’s Council’s citywide revival from April 15-18 with the theme “Rebuilding the Walls.” The choir was formed by the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance and BPC. Rehearsals will be at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1210 Himrod Ave., at 5 p.m. today, 10 a.m. March 24, 5 p.m. April 7 and 6 p.m. April 10. Glorybound, a bluegrass-country-gospel based in Negley, will perform today at Second Chance Community Outreach Ministry, 1747 S. Raccoon Road, Suite 1. The program will begin at 5 p.m. when the ministry serves its regular free hot meal. The music will start at 6.
