Fitch's Jakovina captures state high jump title

AKRON

Fitch senior Jay Jakovina jumped 6 feet, 8 inches to capture the Division I title at Saturday's state indoor track and field meet at the University of Akron.

Jakovina was runner-up in the event last year.

Teammate Billy Price, a junior, placed second in the weight throw. Price is an Ohio State football recruit.

Also, the Falcons' 4x200 relay of Tarise Wolfe, Ty'Reese Anderson, Rob Venters and Daniel Rivera placed second.
