The Recycling Division of Mahoning County’s is hosting the annual “Earth Day to Earth Day Placemat Contest.” Students in grades 1-8 at any Mahoning County public or private school or those that are home-schooled are eligible to enter.
Students need to design a poster using any theme showing the three R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), Don’t Litter, or composting. Students can use crayons, colored pencils, markers or paint on a sheet of paper at least 8 Ω-by-11 and no larger than 11-by-17. No trademark brands or characters may be used.

Dominion will give the winning student in each grade a $25 American Express gift card and 3,000 placemats will be printed with the winning students name, grade, school and poster on them.
These will be distributed to area restaurants and non-profit groups.
